JOIN THE SUMMIT!

The Climate Leadership Summit is an interactive experience organized by high school students, for middle to high school students in the northern Colorado region. Several different environmental clubs across Poudre School District have collaborated with educators across northern Colorado this year. As a result, this event will invite students to learn from one another and various leaders of climate science in Colorado, including:​​

  • Dr. Colleen Duncan, Professor Of Pathology, School Of Public Health, Colorado State University

  • Dr. Gene Kelly, Professor Of Pedology, Director of Colorado Agricultural Experiment Station, Colorado State University

  • Dr. Graham B. Baird, Professor of Geology, Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, University of Northern Colorado

  • Dr. Jessica Salo, Associate Professor, Department of Geography, GIS, and Sustainability, University of Northern Colorado

  • Dr. Margaret du Bray, Assistant Professor of Environmental and Sustainability Studies, University of Northern Colorado

  • Dr. Meagan Schipanski, Associate Professor, Colorado State University

  • Keynote Speaker: Dr. Steven Anderson, Professor in Earth Sciences, University of Northern Colorado

  • Kathryn Guy, Program Specialist, Larimer County Conservation Corps

  • Leslie Smyser, Environmental Teacher, Fossil Ridge High School

  • Peter Goble, Climatologist, Research Associate, Colorado Climate Center, Colorado State University

  • Tanner Guinn, Community Engagement Specialist, Fort Collins Utilities
